I’ve Seen the Donald and the Damage Done

Today, the one-hundred-fifty-third since winning the right to do so, the Donald inflicted permanent damage. Today Neil Gorsuch, Trump’s first Supreme Court appointment was sworn in. Justice Gorsuch, who’s politics to-date have been just to the right of Attila the Hun, will spend the rest of his life deciding matters of law for all of us.

Up till now, stuff Trump did could be fixed. Executive orders can be canceled; foreign policy can be changed. Money and other assets can be taken back from thieves and con-artist. Even international friendship and trust may, eventually, be regained. But, a Supreme Court appointment is forever.

Neil Gorsuch is now permanently affixed to the republic, he’s like a “Born to Lose” tattoo inked onto our collective asses, indelible proof of a bad decision.
