How to Make a Chocolate Merlot Poem

Grab a bunch of chocolate
Could be any kind
A glass of cheap Merlot
This could take a little time

Jot down your first thought
Don’t worry if it’s dumb
Pop a hit of chocolate
Wait for the next to come

Transcribe that next line
Underneath the first
Take a sip of red wine
To quench your poet’s thirst

Now repeat the process
First chocolate then wine
Be very very careful
To capture every line

You’re done when you run out of
Chocolate thoughts and wine
It may not be Leonard Cohen
But you had a good old time
